God Does Answer Prayers!
All of the prayers that were lifted up on my behalf have paid off. I had my appointment with my neurologist yesterday and told my wife and I that all of the test came back completely normal. He told us that thinks I am suffering from chronic pain. He told us that my body doesn't know what it's like not to hurt and that we need to help the brain unwind. The neurologist is going to try to treat my problems with new medications. I'm going to see how it goes for a month before we take other actions. I'm also going to try natural alternatives such as exercise, yoga, meditation, massage therapy, and change in diet which all might help with the pain.
My family and I are thankful to God about the test results. We were happy that they didn't find anything on the tests and that all was normal. We serve a Faithful God who has been an attentive Father to me and who heals in his own appointed way. I continue to put my trust in a God who knows what is best for me. I rejoice in knowing that my true complete healing will come when he says to me " Enter into the Joy of the Lord" ! A thankfulness and comfort that I can't explain in words. So, I wait eagerly upon the Lord.
I personally am going to strive to change my behavior, attitude, and outlook on life. I know that the severe pain has caused me to hurt the ones I love and to have a negative state of mind as well. I am glad that God has given me the opportunity to change. I as a believer, husband, father, and brother I'm going to take life one day at a time and to cherish each day as it might be my last; enjoying life and being a blessing to my family and friends.
Once again, my family is extremely thankful for all of you who have offered up prayers for us during these difficult times.
Consider maybe these questions for discussion:
How does it make you feel that we have a Heavenly Father who hears our prayers? Does he always answer the way we want? If so, how? If not, why not? When God does answer our prayers how should our heart be? What happens to our lives when we turn our pain, frustrations, and trials over to Him? How have you experienced the comfort of God that comes through prayer? We each have our own stories or testimonies about how God has answered prayers in our lives; what is yours? If you have had chronic pain what worked for you?
What do you think?

Awesome news, Kinney. Praise God!
Praying the new regime of natural ways to help the pain makes a big difference.
Praise God! God is good!
I have seen a guy with broken knees be healed, a man with manular (sp) degeneration have no sign of it 3 days after prayer, a woman with confirmed cancer tests go back to the doctor with no trace of it one week later (no chemo or radiation).
Each time, I was overwhelmed with emotion and gratitude for God's mercy and grace. The prayer of agreement is a powerful tool that we can use to focus God's attention on what we are asking for.
Praise God for answered prayers.
That is great news, Kinney! I am so happy to hear it. I apologize for missing some of your calls recently. We are presently and gradually moving our possessions from one place to another. We'll talk soon.
One of the most basic truths about God is that he hears and answers prayer.
I am thankful for the good report that God has answered prayer and that you are on the road to recovery.
Blessings,
Royce
I'm thankful to God for your good news!
Glad to hear the good news :)
God does answer prayer!
Kinney,
I am sorry I haven't been around here in a while -- I am making an effort now to get back to some things that I let slide, and this is one of the places I've missed.
Abba doesn't seem to give much attention to our "why" questions -- I wonder if we don't seem a bit like toddlers who can string a series of "Why?" questions onto any answer they're given. Just as nothing satisfies a toddler's curiosity, nothing will satisfy ours. Often, our answer to the toddler is eventually along the lines of, "Shh. I love you."
Isn't Abba's answer much the same? Shh... I'm here... I love you... Trust me.
I find it very spiritually enlightening to learn that our bodies can "forget" how to feel good. My baby sister-in-law has gone to a healing arts academy and trained in massage therapy and other holistic remedial treatments, and she says much the same things that you have. Chronic pain comes from the body's own training -- it has been locked into patterns of pain, discomfort, and distress for so long that now that peace has come, it doesn't know how to be still.
I believe strongly that we react just the same to the healing (from the power and consequences of sin) which we receive in Christ. We've been healed, but our souls need retraining, realignment, renewal.
in HIS love,nick
Good to hear you're doing even better, Kinney! Praise the Lord! And thanks for stopping by last week! I'll try to keep new posts coming....
It is a great comfort to know that I have a Heavenly Father who cares for me and has had a plan for me, since before the dawn of time. He doesn't always answer our prayers the way we expect Him to, but that's only because He sees the whole picture, and His plans are always so much better than ours.
Wow, Kinney, very glad to hear things taking a turn into brighter territory. Praise God!
Glad to hear it, Kinney.
You just got a "that's what I'm talking about" from Central Florida. Praise God and thank you for sharing your journey with us.
yea God!
Again, very good to hear of God's answers and help in your life, Kinney. We continue to pray.
God answers in ways we don't always want, but according what we really need. And at the heart of that is a close interactive fellowship with him, and out from that with others.
Your sharing reminds me of Paul's thorn in the flesh, no less than a messenger of Satan that tormented him! Yet he learned in that to in his weakness find God's strength. Encouraging and important words for us all, and especially for you who so acutely struggle. (my struggles are more inside of me, to this point, in my spirit and mind, but not so much in my body. but in that I can apply the same.)
Praying for you Bro!
I want you to know that all of your comments are so uplifting to my spirit. I appreciate everyone of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

HI--I just wanted to share a book that greatly helped me when I was going through a few years of pain. Don't know if you have read it--It is called, "The Gospel According to Job "by Mike Mason---an honest look at pain and doubt from the life of one who lost everything.
Mike also went through some years of pain. This book was very honest and I loved the way it looked at things--kind of thinking outside the box from a neat perspective. The book really helped me.
It took a year for me to figure out the route of my pain--I had gone to all kinds of docs and none of them could figure it out! I finally happened to go to an 80 year old massage guy and he immediately pinpointed the problem (which hadn't shown up on cat scans, mri, etc)--I had a rotated pelvis that was causing an sijoint problem and referred groin pain. I could hardly walk. I could not sleep much because the pain was worse lying down. Anyways once I found this out I did get help from a physical therapist and very very slowly but steadily the pain improved. Now I have hardly any pain and I know what to do and not to do.
I found that when one has constant pain it is extreemly hard to think of anything but the pain. I think the wonderful thing in my life...is that I kept bringing this to God asking Him to direct me and to at least let me know the cause of the pain. I kept coming up with answers like--nope, it is not this....no, not this...Doctors here in my location just don't know much about sijoint problems and there is not much out there for treatment of it...thankfully I happened to go to this old guy...thankfully I happened to be referred to a therapist that had some training (limited) with this.
Anyways, I encourage to do the things you have laid out and continue to hold everything in prayer. Read the book if you can!!
This website has helped me a lot in my praying needs. I just wanted to share this to all who wants to be inspired like me. http://www.god-answers-prayers.com
