Was Jesus ever disrespectful to his parents Mary and Joseph? What about the remark Jesus made after not telling his parents where he had been? "Don't you know I had to be about my Father's business?" Wow. Grounds in my house for spanking...Talking back. Samrting off. How do you think it made Joseph feel? "My Father's" business. I was asked once, do you think Jesus ever got in trouble? Did he ever get disciplined as a child? Well, what do think? Was Jesus human? Does he know what it is like to receive discipline? Correction? Or was Jesus the perfect little boy who never got in any trouble? Minded, never talked back even when he was in the temple at the age of 12? If he was the perfect son, how do you think it made his other brothers and sisters feel? Any resentment, perhaps? Why does the New Testament not tell us about Jesus childhood, and teenage years? From ages 12 to 30 nothing?

I doubt we will ever have the true story of Jesus' younger days, but it seems those who knew him best questioned him most.

ReplyDeleteJesus never was disrespectful to His so called parents. Disrespectful to parents is a sin, and Jesus was borne without sin and He never sinned at any time, not even as a child, therefore He never needed to be disciplined, only sinful children need correction and discipline.
ReplyDeleteEarly in His life Jesus was a teacher of teachers and He made it clear that Mary and Joseph were not His Mother or His Father and they never corrected or rebuked Him about that.
The Scripture said that Jesus did not have a mother or a father that is because He is the Lord God the Almighty came in flesh and certainly God does not need a father, but rather 'He is the Father', and neither does He need or have a mother.
The Catholic Church calls Mary the "Holy Mother of God", weird isn't it?
God has a mother?
If God would have a mother, then he would also have father. (Unthinkable)
By the way, His so called brothers and sisters were not His brothers in the flesh, not even His half brothers, they were just like all of us who are in Christ therefore He is not ashamed to call us brothers.
I know it's hard to believe that the little baby (Jesus) is the creator of heaven and earth.
There were times when Mary and Joseph doubted.
Imagine if I or someone else would introduce you to a young carpenter from Nazareth named Jesus and tell you that he is the Lord God the Almighty, the one who created heaven and earth, what would you think?
In fact no one can believe that, unless it has been given to them from above.

krataioō = waxed = to strengthen, make strong, If Jesus was the true God from birth, how and who would make him strong in spirit and wise.? The True God is the Spirit, and the wisest of all.

Any man who does not speak according to the Bible, it is because there is no light or no truth in them (Isa.8:20).
Laymond, the reason you don't believe that the little baby (Jesus) in the manger is "LORD" at His birth, it is because it has not yet been given to you by the Spirit, therefore it makes it impossible to understand those Bible verses you have quoted.
By the word "LORD", I mean the Lord "GOD" the Almighty, the creator of heaven and earth, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last and beside Him is no other who is also LORD and GOD.
Yes it is as you have said, that the true God is the Spirit (Holy Spirit) and the wisest of all (John 4:24).
This true God who is Spirit must be taught and proclaimed to be Jesus Christ the Lord (1 John 5:20 and 2 Cor. 3:17). He was Lord before creation and at His birth (incarnation) and forever more.
No one can know God unless we preach and portray Him in Jesus Christ, and no one can come to God unless he or she comes to Jesus.
For this reason your tongue must confess Jesus to be "LORD" at His birth and in every passage from Genesis to Revelation, for the Lord our God changes not, He is the same yesterday, to day and forever.

ReplyDeleteIf Jesus would have sinned 'ONLY ONCE' and needed to be disciplined in His child-hood, then Jesus would not be the Lord God but a sinner just like you or I.
He wouldn't have been the perfect, unblemished sacrificial lamb who takes away the sins of the world, instead He would have to die for His own sin, and His blood would have NO redemption power.
Worst of all, we still would be lost in our sins and transgressions.
But praise be to Jesus who lived a sinless life and laid down His life according to His will to redeem many from the power and dominion of Satan unto salvation which is in Jesus Christ our Lord.
And anyone who is in Christ had died with Christ and by His resurrection from the dead, we too had been raised to a newness of life, being born again a brand new man old things have passed away and behold all things are amazingly new.
