I am thankful for where I am today. God has brough me from a wheel chair to walking on my own. I am able to pick up my children. I am able to play with them. I am able to hug my wife today as she made my birthday cake which is on Thanksgiving this year. I have much to be thankful for: a loving and supportive wife who means the world to me; three beautiful boys whom I love more than anything.
I am so thankful for a wonderful congration who is loving and is more like a family than a church. The church, when I became sick, set up a medical fund to take care me. The members brought food over to my family. The church took care of preaching while I was unable to do so. When I was out of the hospital, they allowed me to preach from my wheeel chair. The congregation has been patient with me as I continue to heal and recover. I am so very thankful and blessed to be at the church were I am ministering. Thank you God for the Church in Rocksprings.
I am thankful for the doctor that I have; he has been a blessing in researching GBS and prescribing the right medications. The medications he has given me has relieved me of the pain I have been having. Thank you for Dr. Mehendale who was there in the beginning and Dr. Price who is there for me now and is so generous and doing his best for my care.
I am most of all thankful for my new and improved relationship with God. He has given me a second chance at life. He has given me a new outlook on life and Christianity. Thank you God.

I want everyone to know that I had a wonderful thanksgiving and Birthday. My wife made me a coffee cake. She also gave as a present a two tea spoon scooper with my annitals on it. I went to Austin, Texas for Lunch and it was great. I got to see my brothers, mom, dad, cousin and familes, and aunts and uncle. It was feast. I of couse ate too much. We watch the Packers and Lions game. Then ate birtday cake. I got money. $33 $1 for every year 1 have been alive. Yes, I'm only 33 years only. I guess I start my real ministry this year (just as jusus did) just don't cucify me okay.
ReplyDelete:-) My brother gave me a $20 with a my my little poney card that sings. It was so funny. I had a good laugh out off it. My youngest brother got me "Words To Live By" by C.S. Lewis. It hss quotes from C.S. Lewis you can almost imagine.
The bummer was I'm not going to San Antonio to hear N.T. Wright. I am staying home. Sick Child. The youngest one. My Wife stayed home today and I took the two older boys.
I brought back supper though and we had a good supper to gether as a family. We watched Rush Hour on Stars and put the boys to to bed.
We rented some movies over the holidays that I am playing on watching: "Oceans Thirteen", "Amazing Grace", "Ratatouille"; and "Santa Clause 3". I will let you know what I think of them when I get over watching them. I heard that "Amazing Grace" was a must see movie. I was bought the "Nativaty Story for $2.00 at hastings. They were having as sale. I am also looking forward to see it too.
I am planning on getting out the tree in the morning. It is a new tree that was donated to us last year by the Riverside Church of Christ in Kerrville and the Herringtons. I hope it can

ReplyDeleteWe just done with Santa Clause 3. The boys really enjoyed it. It was a cute move for the family.
I really like the Ocean Thirteen. It was just as good as the others.
I am about to watch Amazing Grace. We are having a movie marathon.
The little one is done much better.
We got the tree up today and had a lot of fun listing to Christmas music. Getting in the Christmas spirit. :-) We haven't of course learned to get the little one away from getting ornaments off of the tree and away from the tree. :-)

The move "Amazing Grace" was quite amazing. I thought it was a good movie. Slow in some parts but all in all a good movie.
