Top 'O' The Mornin To Ya'

Top 'o' the mornin' to ya!! I first want to wish all the Irish, and Irish Americans a happy St. Patricks Day especially the McGuyer and Foster clans a happy St. Patricks Day. Everyone else your honorary Irish today. Wear that grean with pride!

A great movie recommendation is Facing The Giants. The movie is a football movie is religious in nature and very inspirational. It doesn't have famous hollywood actors but is a must see. It would be a great movie to show a congregation or youth group. Motivational, powerful the way God is portrayed in this movie. It is going to be on directv pay-per-view soon. You can also rent it at your local video store like Hasting, or Blockbuster.

A great book that I have enjoyed is "Tozer For Today: Tozer On The Almighty God, A 366- Day Devotional" compiled by Ron Eggert.

Do you have any memories of St. Patricks Day? How has the Irish influenced your life? Music?
Have you seen Facing the Giants? If so, what did you think? If you liked it how did you see God at work in the lives of those in the film? How was it motivational? How did it inspire you?
How has A.W. Tozer influenced theology, religion, and faith in the world?

What do you think?

I have some St. Patrick's Day memories, but am not sure you want to hear them, so won't go into my biggest memory. It is rather personal.

I used to be Dee Ann O'Neil, for one thing, and have been to Parasol's in the "Irish Channel" in New Orleans before on St. Patrick's Day when I was still practicing law in downtown New Orleans - does that count? That was a kick! You know New Orleans - always ready for a big party and celebration and St. Patrick's Day is one of the biggest ones.

If you've never been to New Orleans, Kinney, you'll have to come one day when you're feeling just a bit better.

Hope you're having a good day today.

Cheers & Blessings to you today! Dee

  2. I think it's rather ironic that, on the day commemorating the saint that (according to tradition) brought Christianity to Ireland, people all around the world celebrate by getting drunk on green beer.

I think Flogging Molly is an Irish band.

  5. Preacherman ... hope you're well.

    Loved the movie. Excellent recommendation.

No Saint Patty day memories other than choosing NOT to wear green in 5th grade just so Susie Brown would pinch me! ;)

About Tozer: As I remember, he's a favorite of Chuck Swindoll's.
